When should you update your will?
Estate Planning is a lifelong process. Generally, your Will should be reviewed every 3-5 years or after any major life events or change in circumstances, such as:
- Marriage or divorce;
- Birth/adoption of a child or grandchild;
- Death of a family member or beneficiary;
- Relocation to another state;
- Substantial change in the value of any assets; or
- Change in federal or state tax laws.
