How to create your legal profile on GoodSharks

Creating your legal profile on GoodSharks is straightforward, but this guide will run through the process briefly.

Your legal profile is your page here on GoodSharks, and can be viewed by anyone who comes across you either through the legal directory or through a case match.

As well as all your professional details, you can add a video to showcase your practice. For an example of a completed legal profile, have a look at this one.

Create an account

Of course, you will need an account at GoodSharks before you can create your legal profile. If you haven't already got one, you can create an account here and follow the quick and simple sign up procedure.

My Dashboard

Once you have signed up, and each time you log in, you will be taken to your dashboard.

Your dashboard is your control center, and it's from here that you can check for any new cases that match your practice, converse with the person that filed the case, change your account settings and alter your preferences.

To create your legal profile click Edit my legal profile.

Complete the fields

In the tabbed container, you'll find we've broken down your legal profile into sections, organized to help you quickly navigate your way through the wealth of information - some that you'll be able to display to the public, some that will be used for the case matching process.

Submit your profile for verification

Before we can publicly display your profile, we'll need to verify your name and bar license.

Just click on Publish when you are ready to submit your profile. Please allow up to 3 business days for this process to be completed.

View your profile

You can check how your legal profile appears to the world by simply clicking on My Legal Profile from within your dashboard.

Suspend your profile

If for whatever reason you want to suspend your profile - perhaps because you have too much work on, or you need to validate your profile with your state bar, look in your Account Settings where you'll find the option to hide your profile from being publicly displayable. This will also remove you temporarily from the matching process.

You can make your displayable again at any time by simply clicking the Cancel suspension button which will now appear on your dashboard.
